Just would like to say thanks to all those guys who guessed. I did some major research and decided the winner. However, I will not tell you yet, because I am going to wait a few more days so more people can guess.

Hmmm, I need more context information. Is it an enclosed area? Do they see each other first? How long is the fight allowed to last?
But since I have to pick, I pick samurai because he is more fearless and honorable, and so might be better in hand-to-hand combat.
